Welcome! Thank you for your interest in our church! We want to invite you to join Grace Community Church for worship each Sunday at 10:30 AM. Grace Community Church meets at the Chanute Recreation Center. You will want to park in the parking lot on the southwest corner of Central Ave and Fourth Street. Enter through the door marked with our churches name and simply take the elevator to the second floor.
What to Expect:
- We are a relatively small church. Our people are warm and friendly. Our atmosphere is relaxed and laid back.
- We are a church that is serious about our faith and seeking to be faithful to biblical teaching. We are generally reformed and baptistic in theology.
- Our preaching is expositional, meaning that the pastor seeks to expose the meaning of a biblical text and it’s relevance for Christians today. Our desire to to evoke worship by proclaiming the breathtaking greatness of Christ in our preaching.
- Music is mostly contemporary, although we also include some hymns. As with the preaching, the purpose of the songs we sing is to evoke awe in the glorious person and work of Jesus Christ.
- In general, dress is casual, though some may opt to dress up. You are encouraged to wear whatever you’re comfortable wearing. Ultimately, whether we wear a jacket and tie or faded blue jeans, we understand that our acceptance before God is not based upon the way we dress, but on Christ’s perfect righteousness credited to us.
- Childcare is available during the service for nursery through pre-K.
Grace Community Church is about seeking uncompromising biblical faithfulness, living gospel-centered/worship-fueled lives, pursuing authentic Christian community, and spreading our joy in the biblical mission.
